We have the largest German desk in Australia, which has been successfully operating for many years.
Our clients are German-speaking clients from Austria, Germany and Switzerland, including many family-owned Mittelstand companies or hidden champions, as well as a number of large listed corporates. Our clients come from all industry sectors, including manufacturing, energy, technology, financial and medical.
Our team is made up of five German trained and German speaking lawyers who are also qualified to practice in Australia. The team is headed by Oliver Jankowksy and Dr Wolfgang Babeck, who are both fully qualified German (1. and 2. Staatsexamen) and Australian lawyers and who have both practised law in Australia for more than 20 years. We are well positioned to assist our clients mastering jurisdictional differences and Australian business practices, including in:
- M&A, corporate and commercial, and tax;
- regulatory and compliance; and
