Joey is a Partner in Hall & Wilcox’s Property & Projects team with extensive experience acting for developers, institutional investors, family offices and ultra-high-net-worth individuals on complex property transactions and large-scale development projects across Australia. She is trusted by clients for her strategic thinking, commercial acumen and ability to deliver results in fast-moving and technically demanding projects.

With a comprehensive skill set spanning property development, acquisitions, due diligence, contract negotiations, planning, GAIC SPA approvals, and off the plan bulk stage settlements. She regularly acts on commercial property transactions with expertise in assisting local and foreign developers and investors with property acquisitions, due diligence, contract negotiations, ‘off the plan’ residential developments and land subdivisions.

Her practice also extends to advising family offices and ultra-high-net-worth individuals on the acquisition, disposal and ongoing management of diverse property portfolios. This includes shopping centres, office buildings, industrial facilities, development land and agricultural land. Joey’s integrated approach ensures her clients receive end-to-end legal and commercial support from initial investment and acquisition structuring to long-term asset management and divestment. 

Joey is a native Mandarin and Cantonese speaker.  Her deep understanding of the Chinese culture and experience in assisting Chinese developers gives her real insight into her clients’ needs. Joey's clients include Dahua Group, Wuzhong International, Bewise Group, Inplace Living, Linkage Group, Titan Development, Eureka International Group, Synnex Australia Pty Ltd, RPM Group, and numerous property funds, among others, on a diverse range of property matters. Joey is known for her pragmatic and solutions-oriented approach, working closely with clients to manage complexity while maintaining focus on project deliverables and business outcomes.
